How People with Mild
Brain Injury Will Benefit from Life Coaching
Many people who have received a mild brain
injury are sent directly home from the hospital
emergency room or doctor’s office. They
are often told they have “just a concussion”
and are assured that they will be fine. Although
your recovery may seem fine, with no obvious
disability, you may experience side effects
that can provide serious challenges to daily
living. Subtle personality changes, difficulty
remembering, concentrating, organizing, multitasking
or other problems in thinking can present
difficulties on the job, in school, at home
or in your other activities.
For those who have had injuries requiring
a time of rehabilitation, you have discovered
that resources may be limited or difficult
to locate and you are best guided by your
own resourcefulness. For many survivors, growth
and learning may end too soon, not because
your maximum potential has been achieved,
but because you have reached the limit of
your resources and experience. As an experienced
TBI life coach, I can help you find new inner
resources and offer you ideas and strategies
from my experience and training that support
your continued growth.
As your Life Coach, I will be your honest,
objective cheerleader totally devoted to your
success in reaching your most important goals.
During coaching we will explore the challenges
you are facing, discover and celebrate your
inner strengths and resources, clarify what
you want to change for the better, and develop
step-by-step plans designed to support and
encourage you.
Ask yourself: Am I Ready to be back
In Charge of my Life?
Life Coaching may be for me if:
- I am ready and willing to stretch and
grow into the possibilities that are there
for me.
- I am ready to find and live my life's
purpose.
- I am willing to let go of thoughts and
behaviors that are not working for me
and replace them with ones that do.
- I am ready to commit to being present
and on time for scheduled appointments.
- I am ready to create plans and take action
to achieve my goals and ask my coach
to hold me accountable to my commitments.
- I am ready for more fun and enjoyment
in my life.
- I have the financial resources to invest
in myself by starting coaching now.
- I am ready now to accept coaching in my
life and I recognize the benefits it can
create for me.
